The award aims to promote innovation and sustainability and to raise the efficiency and competitiveness of Oman's logistics sector.

The award seeks to encourage institutions and companies engaged in logistics activities to showcase and share best practices, experiences and innovative solutions. It aims to help develop logistics operations and services, improve operational efficiency and strengthen the sector's competitiveness. It also seeks to support the small and medium enterprises (SMEs) operating in the sector.

The award has five main categories: Omanisation, Health and Safety, Net Zero, Continuous Improvement and Innovation, and Omani Products and Services. These reflect the priorities for developing the sector and strengthening its sustainability and competitiveness.

The Health and Safety category focuses on reducing accidents and risks and fostering a culture of occupational safety. The Net Zero category addresses cutting emissions and promoting environmental sustainability.
